


COMMUNITY RELATIONS AND ENGAGEMENT SERVICES

PHASE
1
Grant Application / Introduction Phase (First 6 Months)
​​​- Spend time with Lyte Fiber leadership and staff to discuss market research results in order to better influence community prioritization.
​
- Conduct initial outreach to communities of interest, introducing them to Lyte Fiber, and
gather feedback on the broadband landscape in their areas.
​
- Mesh initial in-person outreach with data-driven metrics into a comprehensive priority
“go/no-go” list.
​
- Begin soliciting communities for letters of support for Lyte Fiber to facilitate various
grant applications at the Federal and State level.
​
- Research, introduce and orient company with local, county and state taxing entities for
the purposes of utilizing tax abatement opportunities.​
​
- Introduce and engage in advocacy before the New Mexico legislative appropriations
bodies and relevant state agencies, including the dedicated broadband office, to achieve
collaboration and partnerships.
PHASE
2
Post-Grant Award/Relationship Cultivation Phase (6-12 Months)
- Continue to research and develop new Phase 1 opportunities

- Maintain outreach to NM Connect, Office of Broadband Access & Expansion
​​
- Continue to assist with company and community relations, as necessary.
​
- Ensure the company is aware of changing tax opportunities or ramifications.
​​
- Identify, or plan, and participate in events to increase company visibility and
community commitment within priority communities.
- Identify and prioritize issues of local importance, propose strategies for local alignment, and build local partnerships to maximize impact, utilizing local nonprofits or other relevant stakeholder engagement.
​
- Facilitate ongoing efforts to foster and build local support and partnerships through
meetings and outreach with local elected officials and key stakeholders
PHASE
3
Broadband Implementation and Operation/ Monitor Phase
(12 Months - Ongoing)
​- Be on standby for community (crisis) response when necessary.
​​
- Shepherd Phase 2 communities, and their elected representatives, through any pains
infrastructure implementation may cause.
​​
- Work to cultivate ongoing Phase 1 into Phase 2 programs
​​
- Maintain situational awareness at the community and state levels for incremental
opportunities.

BROKEN DOWN BY PHASE
1
PHASE ONE
$10,000 per month
for first 6 months
Getting started will require the highest consultant utilization to maximize community responses and continual business development opportunities for new community introductions.
2
PHASE TWO
$7,500 per month
for 6 – 12 months
Consisting of a mix of continued work
on Phase 1 introduction and growth opportunities, but predominantly Phase 2 duties.
3
PHASE THREE
$5,000 per month
for routine monitoring
Continued monitoring and standby efforts, containing limited work in Phases 1 and 2, but with the opportunity to renegotiate should continued growth opportunities arise.
